At First Baptist Church, there are many opportunities for people to get involved, or to take a step into the ministries of the church at a comfortable pace. Every opportunity filled is appreciated and considered an important role in the life of the church. Current opportunities for you to become involved include:

Sunday Morning Worship Greeters- Greeters at First Baptist are the often the first welcoming face a member or visitor will see when entering on Sunday morning. If you enjoy meeting people, offering assistance and direction, or just simply offering a welcoming smile and a handshake, please contact the church office to find out how you might become a valuable member of the greeting team.

Sunday Morning Ushers- Ushers perform an important service during Worship. Tasks include handing out bulletins and other important information to the congregation as well as assistance during the service with collecting announcements, the morning offering, or providing direction to needed services while people are in the sanctuary. If you would like to help in this way, please contact the church office.

Communion Servers- Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month and is served in a variety of ways. If you would like more information about this ministry and how you can be a part of it, please contact the church office.

Circle of Care is a rather informal group of people who provide care for those in our church family when extra support and nurturing is needed.  This may include taking food, visiting in the hospital or at home, providing transportation to a doctor’s appointment, picking up medication and delivering it, etc.  At this time, The Circle is looking for new people who would be willing to be contacted when some “extra love and care” is needed by another in our church.

You could leave your name, phone number and e-mail address with Shella in the church office or with Amanda Ufford, Sue Hemsath, or Louise Mudrak.
