The New Creation Singers is a small worship band that strives to provide meaningful acoustic music in the folk and contemporary genres for services at First Baptist.  The group provides music several times each semester for the Sunday morning worship services at First Baptist.  We draw our music from the varied musical experiences of members of the group, contemporary Christian music, the more traditional folk idiom- wherever we find meaningful music that interprets to us and, we hope, to the congregation, God’s unconditional love and influence in our lives.

On occasion we also have provided music for various community programs, including during registration activities for local Crop Walks and, more recently, performed an evening concert at the Norton Chapel of Keuka College as part of the 75th annual summer retreat of the American Baptist Men of New York State.

The group provides music about four times a year for the Sunday morning worship services at First Baptist, employing acoustic and bass guitars and keyboard accompaniment. Our music complements the more traditional music provided by the First Baptist Church Choir and by First Baptist’s Pianist/Organist/Composer, Christopher Morgan Loy.

Various members of the group have been singing and playing together since 1998, and the membership of the group has evolved over time; we’d love to have you join us! If you are interested, feel free to contact any member of the group or Dave Caughey.
